Ahhhhh (´・`)
I hope everyone in the states had an awesome Indie day yesterday!
(Indie = Independence)
All I did yesterday was focus on my new game, Final Fantasy: Theatrhythm, and I also shopped around at a few stores.~
I bought a sailor moon wand for really cheap and a BMO toy from Adventure Time.

GEO - XTRA BLUE

Taken without Flash
These are my second pair of lenses and in my favorite color as well.
I bought these off Yesstyle and they arrived to me by the second week of June. I've had to wear them out on several occasions since then. Reason for that was because when I first put them in they dried my eyes out after 2-3 hours of use.

Taken with Flash
So, I was curious to see if they'll continue to dry out quickly and they did.
After the second time wearing them they lasted longer but only about 4-5 hours. I did try using drops but even then I didn't feel comfortable with them. One time I drove to the FL Mall and on the way to the mall my lenses had dried out really bad. The AC had a lot to do with it, as it was on full blast, but I've driven under those conditions before with the Princess Mimi lenses. Those never dried out AND they literally can go for 9 hours or more.
(You're NOT suppose to go any longer than 9 hours with lenses on. I don't recommend that for anyone. I've done it to say the least but that's just me taking risks.)

Taken with Low Setting Flash
IN FACT, I went Paint balling with the Princess Mimi lenses on, took a shower after, and went to go eat dinner and throughout those events they did not dry out AT ALL. I most likely won't be able to do those things with the Xtra Blue lenses on.

Princess Mimi Apple Green Taken with 3DS. These lenses are sooo comfortable.
Though, despite the comfort level and the durability, I really admire Xtra Blue's design and color!

Hi everyone!

Finally, part 2. ●﹏☉
In this part of the review, I'll be talking about my personal opinion on each song from the album.
Before I continue with that, I'll just give everyone a quick update of what's been going on with me. Well, remember those lenses I said I was going to buy? I bought them a week ago, they came in after 3 days of purchase, and I'll definitely make a review for them as my next post. Yesterday was Nachi's birthday, so me and our whole group of friends decided to meet her up at TGI Fridays for dinner. Hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures from my friends to post on here. Or even better, one of my friends took multiple videos of us goofing off at Fridays. lol Let's see if he'll compile a video soon enough.
They finally arrived! *(*´∀`*)☆
Pamyu Pamyu Revolution on the left and Kyary Bon on the right.
This review will consists of two posts. This one will feature all of the album's physical content and the second post will be my personal review of each track from the album. I would also like to make an individual post about Kyary Bon as well sooooo
Lots of Kyary coming your way.
I bought the Limited Edition version of PPR just cuz its her first album. I have her Moshi Moshi Harajuku as limited edition and her Tsukema Tsukeru and Candy Candy singles as regular editions. Its just a personal preference for me to buy albums as limited edition and singles as regular. Also the cover for this album is more appealing then the regular edition. ;-;
What's kind of funny is that I preordered it without realizing what special content was on it. lol
The ~special~ content that comes with the limited edition is that basically the album itself is a 64-page photo book. Also, it comes with a DVD that has all of her 3 PVs (PONPONPON, Tsukema Tsukeru, and CANDY CANDY) annnnd it has some footage from her Kyary's Moshi Moshi Quattro Live concert at Shibuya's Club Quattro.
I haven't watched the live yet but I probably will later tonight.
Looook confettiiii. When you open the photo album the first thing that pops up is the sleeve that holds the CD. There's another disk sleeve at the very end of the book that contains the DVD.
Then there's the tracklist.
After the tracklist, there are at least 30 pages of random pictures of Kyary.
If you want to look at all of the images you can view them here. Thank God someone made scanlations!
The mid point within the photobook is the lyrics portion. After that, there's more pictures.
I apologize for the photos, I took them through my cellphone. My camera is SOMEWHERE but I'm not sure where. (´~`;)
Back of photobook. Where is this?
CD
DVD ... ・ω・
I absolutely love this thang. I laughed at times while looking through this photo book and it's what makes Kyary admirable. You can't tell well in my photos (ugggh) but on the DVD disk its her face on a cat's body. On the CD, its her face on a rabbit's body. I love her.(。♥‿♥。)
What always gets me about the photo books is that it leaves me wanting more! Its how I felt when I got Moshi Moshi Harajuku. I just wanted it to be never ending and it just feels like the book abruptly ends. I end up having to look through th book like, 4 or 5 more times. Its sort of a good thing I got Kyary Bon along with PPR or else I'd mindlessly look through PPR for an hour.
Aside from the album's aesthetics ... what truly won me over was the music itself. Which I'll talk about in my next post. :DD
Thanks for reading!
Two weeks ago I gathered up enough courage and bought these pair of lenses off of yesstyle. Yup, I've never had any type of contacts in my eyes before.
And I'll tell you right now ... Man, that was the most easiest thing in the world. What was I so scared of? It goes to show a lot about my personality that I stayed cleared of something stupid like this. Well actually, I remember my times of squirming around over at the Optometrist's office as she was trying to put eye drops in my eyes. I remember how she try to guilt me into staying still and then she told me things like 'how do you expect to wear contacts if you can't even let eye drops in'. So, ever since all of those times it just caused me to stay clear of contacts ... cause I thought they would sting my eyes just like those medicated eye drops.
Though, they didn't sting. Or at least, not for more than a couple of seconds. When I first got these lenses I immediately opened the vial, dumped one single lenses onto my palm, and I disinfected them with this awesome solution called Opti Free. I heard its important to disinfect the lenses cause you're not suppose to wear the lenses straight from the vial. The solution in the vial aren't meant for your eyes. Though, I've had a couple friends say that they've used the lenses straight from the vials and that nothing bad happened to them. Yet. :P
So ... after disinfecting them it took me like, an hour to get them in. I'm such a paranoid coward. lol I mean it felt like forever ... but once they were in they irritated my eyes a little bit for the first few seconds and then, tada! They ended up feeling extremely comfortable. I wish I tried this years ago. (but yeah, I have such a stubborn, wuss personality) These lenses feel extremely comfortable, I've worn them for more than 6 hours and have had no problems. I really like the color but I suppose if they were a tad bit lighter in color then I would really fall in love.
I've actually been admiring this series of lenses for almost a year. I was so glad to find them on yesstyle in the exact color I wanted. They're pricier on yesstyle but I knew that to begin with. I didn't want to risk getting fake lenses cause I've read around the horrible effects you can get from wearing them. My eyes are bad enough. I don't need to ruin them even more. Yesstyle sells authentic GEO lenses, so I definitely had to jump on that. (I might get more lenses from them soon ... *-*)

EDIT/UPDATE 7/5/12:These lenses are AMAZING. Overall, after comparing them to my Xtra Blue lenses I've decided to give them a better rating.

I started to realize how pretty this color truly is. ALSO, update on the comfort level of these things: I went Paint balling with the Princess Mimi lenses on, took a shower after, and went to go eat dinner and throughout those events they did not dry out AT ALL. I've worn them for 9+ hours on multiple occasions.

So June is finally here, it's going to be a very eventful month.
This weekend I get the lucky chance to go attend Star Wars Weekend over
at Disney and I'm really excited about it. I'm deciding as of now what
to incorporate in an outfit for that day. xD; After that my lovely bff,
Nachi, is going to turn 20 on June 14th. She's planning on doing something
but she's not sure what do. I told her I was up for anything. :3
From June 17 - 19 there's going to be an anime convention that's being held
called Metro Convention. Tommy is really excited about going and so am I.
I'm mostly excited to see what kind of lolitas will be there since the city
its going to be in seems to have a good amount of local loli's. After that
there are 3 more birthdays. BT's birthday and my cousin's = June 24th and
Tommy's birthday = June 25th. It'll be somewhat of an eventful month. lol

I've been noticing this whole new craze about this fitness style known as
Zumba. I didn't know much about it until my mom decided to buy the
Zumba Fitness game for the Wii. I was with her when we bought it and she
kept telling me how she read reviews on it and most reviews were positive
so she wanted to try it out. Once I started playing the game is when I found
out what Zumba really was.

At first I thought Zumba was some sort of Brazilian dancing style.
I was sort of surprised, and kind of happy, that Zumba basically
incorporates different dancing styles into one workout routine.
The specific dancing style? They are all Latin/Carribbean dancing
styles like Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, and I was even surprised
when I saw some Dancehall music/moves incorporated. There's some
hip hop too but I mostly felt comfortable with the Latin dancing
styles since I grew up surrounded by them.
Am I any good at any of them?
No, not really. D: Merengue maybe ...
If you have no idea how any of these dancing styles look like
I would recommend youtubing them if you're really curious.
I'm pretty sure everyone is very familiar with Salsa dancing.
Anybody? :D
Though, even if I'm not an amazing dancer, the game is still really
entertaining despite it not feeling much like a game.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a good representation of the game
on youtube so instead I'll post a preview to a Zumba fitness DVD.
The game is no different from this DVD workout.
The objective is to basically follow up with the dancing silhouette
and you basically have to wear this specific belt that comes with
the game in which you place the wii mote into the belt's pocket and
supposedly the game will detect your hip movements through
the wii mote. Though, if you really didn't care about following
the silhouette then you can basically get points easily by just
wiggling your body. lol

I personally really like the silhouettes because it makes it easier
to just concentrate on the choreography and its moderate to follow
but to the point where you'll be drenched in sweat so this game
should definitely be played when you have nothing to do at home.
(where you can shower and wash your hair after playing)
Have you ever heard of Zumba before this post?
It really is popular around here ... I've noticed Zumba workout
centers opening up at different places including in a mall. lol

Website: (http://www.kawaiishopjapan.com/)
The website doesn't seem to be working so well right now
as the layout for it is not showing up for me. I don't know if
it's just my computer that its happening with. You can still
order stuff with no problem.
I've been keeping an eye on this web shop for a month or two.
They have such cute miniature toys and letter sets.
Last week on November 5th I had made an order for 4
letter sets, and the entire order arrived very quickly.
It took only 5 days for the package to arrive.
The owners of the web shop live in Japan, which I found a
bit surprising as the item arrived so quickly...
I chose Regular Mail as a shipping option, and I thought it was
going to take like two weeks since it was really cheap but no, it was 5 days.
The package also came in nice condition, I found it really nice of
them to write a warning for the postal service on the package:

Here's what I ordered:

1 Pukupuku Awawa Chan (Kamio) letter set; 8 sheets, 4 envelopes
2 Tenorikuma (Sanrio) letter set; 12 sheets, 6 envelopes
3 Happiness Girl (Mind Wave) letter set; 8 sheets, 4 envelopes
4 Little Twin Stars (Sanrio) letter set; 12 sheets, 6 envelopes
I'm really happy with these, just because all of the items were
cheap in price and I don't have much letter sets.
Also there use to be two Anime/Japan related stores near
me but both stores closed all in the same year. The nearest Sanrio store
for me is 30 minutes away by highway, and so the internet is my best bet for
these type of things.
:|
I was really satisfied with what I got but what got me more happier was this:

The seller included a free pack (shown above) of 26 memo pad sheets
that are all from different character series. *__*
Man was I excited, and all giddy.

I'm a real sucker for these kinds of things.
I can't wait to buy again from them in the future. :'3
(Continuing off from the Taobao Spree post.)
LONNNNG POST AHEAD.
Hi hi! I'm going to now write about each of the items that I had
bought off of taobao. I'll begin by presenting each item and then
talking about what I liked and what I probably disliked (if there
is a dislike). After I finish writing about a specific item I'll
leave an overall rating of it and them move on to the next item.
Before I start, here's a small key
to follow under each item:
(Stock Photo here)
Brand | Item link | Price + Shipping* = Total Cost.
*Shipping is paid for the item being shipped from
the taobao store to the shopping service's warehouse.
I'm going to write out the price in it's original
Chinese currency (Yuan Renminbi). Next to the chinese
price of the item I'll put next to it in paranthesis
the approximate price in US dollars. I'll be using
an online currency converter to show the approximate price.
1) & 2) Two pairs of Replica Tea Party Shoes.

An*tai*na (Nana Lolita) | Item Link here. | ¥168.00x2($24.71) + ¥18.00($2.65)=
¥354.00 ($52.01)
What I really like about these is the fact that there's bigger
sizes for those of us who do not have the smallest feet.
They have European sizes all the way up to 41 (10 1/2 - 11 in the US).
If you're a girl who wears a 8 or 9 and can't really fit in those AP
tea party shoes, then these replica's are the next best thing. I'm a
size 7 1/2 in shoes so a size 38 was my best bet.

Once I put this shoes on, it was an instant fit. They fit
perfectly on my feet. A nice snug fit is what they feel like on
my feet, I was really happy for that.

I don't know much that I can talk about when it comes to the material,
I know that I can guarantee that these shoes will be needing A LOT
extra care. Not even, these shoes seem like they're going to wear & tear quick.

Just by slipping my foot into this right shoe at about 3 times, and
already the right edge of it is getting a bit messed up. I was trying
to adjust the top buckle-thing so that it would fit my ankle
better. I got a bit frustrated when I noticed what was happening.
I can't slip my foot in a rush now without worrying that I might mess up my tea
parties that way. :\ You get what you paid for. ♪
Other then being aware about the fate of these shoes, I really love them
and I am extremely happy because I finally get to own some tea party
shoes.
I give these a rating of: 4/5
3) Strawberry Jam Cutsew, in pink.

Infanta | Item Link |¥138.00($20.30) + ¥12.00($1.77)= ¥150.00($22.07)
I've always loved Infanta, and once I saw this cutsew through Qutieland
I felt extremely eager to get it. There were two things I wanted the most.
Tea party shoes and this cutsew. The model in the stock photo contributed
more to my love for this, and so I ended up getting it as I was thinking
about what to buy on taobao.

I LOVE IT. So so so much ... it's well made, and it feels comfy to wear.
The only weird thing was this bow that came with it ...

This bow is meant to be placed on this shirt, yet it doesn't go well with it.
Atleast to me it doesn't. xD;
I give this item a: 5/5
4) White ruffled skirt.

HMHM | Item Link | ¥145.00($21.33) + ¥15.00($2.21) = ¥160.00($23.53)
I was browsing for a plain-ish type of skirt so that I can have a
coordinate to wear with my new cutsew. I found this one, and
I loved the stock photos of it that I chose to buy it. This was the
item that delayed my whole order by 2 or 3 weeks.

When I opened up the plastic bag for this skirt, the first thing
I noticed were a few tiny black streaks around the waist part of the
skirt. They're not really a big deal since they're really faint to
see, but if you look really closely you can see them. As I kept
examining the skirt I noticed that I was seeing some yellow some
where in the skirt ... I was in front of the window so I brought up
the skirt more towards the light to see what that yellow was. Once some light went through the skirt I was able to see a yellow-ish undertone from it.

I'm not sure what to really say about this. I looked under the skirt
to see some type of fabric sewed within it. I don't know much about
the different types of fabric so I can't really criticize this all that well. D:
Does anyone know what kind of material causes this to happen?
I'm not too crazy about the yellow-ish undertone, but ... after putting
on the skirt with a petticoat, everything ended up looking really nice.

I give this skirt a ... 4.5/5.
(Just because I don't know what's causing that yellow undertone. -__- )
5) Strawberry Socks (Most likely a replica)

Secret Shop | Item Link | ¥18.00($2.65) + ¥10.00($1.47) = ¥28.00($4.19)
Nothing much to say about these. I pretty much love them! :'3
I love the trail of strawberries going down the side all the
way down to the toes area. It really shows through well, especially
when you're wearing semi open shoes.

I give these socks a 5/5.
The total amount I spent for all these items (shipping not included)
was around ... ¥692.00 ($103.80)
Wow. Compared to brand, this is really cheap.
After realizing how much I actually spent I'm pretty happy
and even grateful that taobao exists. If not, I
probably would have to save months for a pair of tea parties.
I do love brand, but I also love offbrand a lot.
What was the least amount you've ever paid for
a lolita item?
Whether you made it or bought it,
did you feel excited because the cost
of it was so cheap?
I feel pretty good about this purchase.
