Super Mario Bros and Re-ments!

Hello! (✿◠‿◠)
Halloween is almost near!
A week from today to be exact.

Last Saturday, Tommy and I dressed up as Mario and Luigi
for this Halloween party at a comic book shop.

I've always wanted to do a Mario/Luigi theme with someone ...

There's another Halloween party this Saturday that we're going to go to as well.
Except, we won't be Mario and Luigi again.

I was thinking of creating a Sadako inspired look.

We'll see how that goes ...
☆~

I've always loved re-ment toys but I only own a few ... Including the one above.

I bought this one last Wednesday to be exact.
I normally see re-ments and rarely buy them ...
They're just too expensive and troublesome.
All of the tiny pieces involved can easily get lost and I just get so angry
whenever I get the ones I don't really want.

Oh, and again they're a bit pricey?
The one above was around $8.
I own a few, and they've all ranged from $6 to $8 each.
(I should probably look at a re-ment box I have and see how much they cost in yen)

I'm complaining yet I can't really stop admiring these blind boxes/capsule toys.
( TДT)

Luckily, with this Rilakkuma blind box,  all of the surprise
re-ments were all just equally adorable so it didn't matter which
one would come up.

The packaging itself is just, so ...
ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ !!!

There's this youtube channel dedicated to re-ments, konapun, and other such things.
When I first discovered it, I felt so ... excited.
Like, the child within me could't contain herself.
This was in the beginning of the year , and I just remember somehow running into
a video from this channel on tumblr ...
The rest is history.

I've wasted so much time watching and re-watching videos on there.
The konapun and re-ment are intriguing and the person in the videos
is so delicate with his or her's stuff ...

My finger tips would of been moist from trying to carefully connect the re-ment pieces together.

These are part of my favorites from this channel:

What are your plans for Halloween this year?

Lolita Makeovers!

(Ness on the left and Steven on the right)

Its been pretty eventful last week to say the least.
I had the chance to spend time with all of my closest friends.
It's sort of a rarity for all of us to see each other since everyone's busy with work and college.

(Ness on the left and Nachi on the right)

So, I sort of dressed up my friends in my lolita clothes, wig, falsies ...
(●´∀`●)

I was always curious to see how Steven would look in lolita ...
So, curiosity killed the cat and I just went for it.
That day a Brolita was fabricated!

I originally wanted him to wear an AP dress but he was too tall for it. ;へ:
Thankfully,  Bodyline saved the day.

As for my friend Ness, she'll be moving to another country by November.
Well, not country.
I don't even know what to consider Puerto Rico as.
It's a U.S. territory, not really a state.
Yet, when you go there most people don't even know English.
PR is not even remotely Americanized.
I'm just going to think of it as another  country.
lol

but, anywho
My friend Ness, even though I've only known her for about 7 or 8 months, I've grown really close to her.
It hurts to have her go like this ... I can only hope we never lose contact.
Even though, PR is a two hour plane trip away from Florida. lol
I wanted to at least, have her try out lolita before she leaves.
Apparently, it worked as she's now considering dabbling into lolita fashion.

Aside from the above,  I've been also buying toys.
Not much ... normally small figurines that catch my attention.
I prefer smaller toys as its less spacious and they tend to be adorable.

For example, last Saturday I went to this newly opened Anime shop and they had these:

(From left to right: Ingus as a Knight, Refia as Devout, Refia
as a Magus, Refia as a Dragoon, and Arc as a Red Mage)

Final Fantasy III (DS ver.) figurines! ;A;

They're pretty difficult to find online so of course I took advantage!
And, of course I've always been in love with the Devout class in this game!
So, the Refia figurine in this class was the first thing I saw out of the bunch.
I remember once I unlocked this class I was so excited.
(;▽;)

Has anyone ever felt the urge
to dress a guy up in woman's clothing?

Its alright, just be honest. :D
I've always wanted to dress up my boyfriend as a woman.
I become super curious and just wanted to see them in makeup and whether they can pull it off or not. xD

P.S. Here's the only photo of me from that day of the lolita makeovers:

I was stuck with no time to wash up after I got off from work that day.
I was too busy making Ness and Steven look fabulous.
( `.∀´)

P.S.S. But then after Ness and Steven left I quickly fixed myself up:

Its like looking at a different person.

Sanrio slowyly appearing everywhere ...

On Thursday I went to Target with Tommy because he needed to buy groceries.
While I was there, I rummaged through the dollar bins and found these
Keroppi notepad/small notebook. There was a lot more different Keroppi
designs but I just ended up loving these two the best. :3

Usually when you go to places like Walmart or Target you usually just
see the occasional Hello Kitty items which you get tired of (and
especially when you already own a lot of Hello Kitty crap).

Lately, ever since Sanrio's 50th Anniversary, I've been noticing different
characters other then Hello Kitty popping up in department stores.
It made me really happy and thankful that Sanrio was going all out
with their 50th Anniversary.

It might not seem like a big deal for some people since they live near
stores that generally sell stuff imported from Asian countries or they
live in the countries themselves and have an easy access to the stuff.

About a year ago two anime-ish stores that were extremely near me closed down.
I was pissed and so were all my friends. -___-
One store was called "Japan HQ" and the other was called "Oriental Trading".
Both stores had the same type of inventory. They both carried anime/manga
merchandise, plush dolls, sanrio/san-x stuff, Japanese magazines ... pretty
much they were the typical place for a Japanophile to shop at.

After these stores closed down I had to rely on ebay and other
online sites to do all my japanophile shopping at.

There is an official Sanrio store that's 40 minutes away though I rarely
go to the area in where the store is located. :'p When I do get to visit
the store I would generally stay in there for an hour.
(I actually had a chance to go two weeks ago. c: )

Despite all that above, a few months ago I started to slowly notice
all these sanrio stuff popping up at Walmart, Target, and
Toysrus ... and the stuff is priced cheaper because Sanrio had manufactured
the stuff specifically for these department stores.

This was waaay before the 50th Anniversary and its a pretty common type of
item. I saw it at Toysrus when I first noticed them selling HK stuff. This
plush was around $5-6.

Then at Toysrus I started to see these other characters other than HK.
At the time when I bought this 'My Melody' they had her, Badtz-maru, Keroppi,
and some other character I can't remember. I really wanted Badtz-maru but
the one they had in stock was really dirty and he was the only one left.
I'll get a badtz-maru someday. -_- This My Melody was ... $6 I believe.

Now when I saw this I had already known about the 50th Anniversary but I didn't
know that they'd sell HK dressed up as every old popular Sanrio character. *-*
Especially my favorite Sanrio character when I was a child, Pochacco.
I immediately bought this and it ended up being like $7 at Toysrus.
I also saw these at Target too and they still have them.
(Or at least at the targets near me they're still in stock)

Oh god ... I was surprised to see these cuties over at Walmart. What surprised me
even more is that they were each $5.
D':
I snagged 3 out of the 4 they had.
They had more Sugarbunnies stuff but I was mostly interested in the plush dolls.
They're all scented too. :DD I always smell them whenever I walk by them ...
I think they still have them at Walmart.

Here are the two items I bought while at the official Sanrio store:

I hope in the future Sanrio will have their own aisle at places
like Walmart/Target ...

Have you noticed anything you've really liked show up at local department store?

Calico Critters

Mood: Flustered
Working on: School stuff
Drinking: Water
Homework always leaves me dehydrated ...

I guess you're never too old for toys

I got this Calico Critters playhouse and the critters inhabiting it
as a Valentines gift from Tommy. We go to Toysrus almost once a week
just to check out what's new (he goes for Transformers and I go to see
if there's any new Sanrio stuff). We're pretty much into Toys,
or at least he is more than myself. I would usually go and just walk
through the Barbie aisle or through the Fake food/fake kitchen
aisle just to basically marvel at all the complex fake kitchens that
I wish I could own now as an adult. I mean, I would if I had more
space. xD Then again ... Would I actually play with it?
Without feeling odd?

Not too long ago did I discover these Calico Critters.
I thought they were absolutely adorable and I loved how much
variety in species they had when it came to the family sets. ;__;
They had cow families, cats, dogs, monkeys, rabbits, bears, porcupines ...
So much variety, and the play houses for these animals are amazing.
They're very detailed yet really pricey. :\
Calico Critters is the U.S. name for Sylvanian Families.
Sylvanian Families originated from Japan and then became a big hit
in other countries. I can tell (from ebay listings, and from searching
up online shops) that Sylvanian Families seem to be popular in the UK. o:

Once I opened up the packaging for the Calico Critters play house immediately
I set up all the furniture to where it needs to be and put all the little animals
to their places. Mom's cooking up a storm in the kitchen, Dad's just sitting
there and the kids are up stairs playing with their toys. (As you can see I
added some stuff that I could find around my from, including the Re-ment food :D)

Once I had set everything up I cleared out an area where there was a tea
set displayed and now its replaced with this playhouse. Tommy was pretty
happy with the fact that I was 100% content with the playhouse.
Everything's just so cute. T___T (To me at least)

I feel nostalgic whenever I look over at the play house. There is temptation
to just sit in front it and play with the animal dolls yet ... I've already
tried that and thoughts about things that I should be doing rather
than playing fill up my mind.
So of course it ends up feeling unnecessary to play.
It won't stop me from admiring the darn thing.
At times I glance over at the house and creep up a smile.

While growing up can you remember which
type of toy was your favorite? Plush dolls? Baby dolls?
Barbies? Pretend Play like fake food or a fake doctor equipment?

While growing up I was really HUGE on Barbie dolls.
Can't say that I still am, I don't find them appealing anymore
and I remember how I felt so relieved when it came to getting rid
of them. (I did feel somewhat sad at the time when giving them away. D: )

Hehe.~
These charms arrived in yesterday when I got
home from the mall. I got 5 charms for
the price of $5 off of ebay and that includes shipping.
( $1 a charm? D: )
The set came with 3 Korilakkuma heads (the beige bear)
and two Rilakkuma heads (the brown bear).

I really wanted these! I've been in the san-x/sanrio
mood recently as I've been browsing ebay and other
places for 'kawaii toys'. I even came across a website
that sells miniature toys of san-x/sanrio characters.

Kawaii Shop Japan
They even have some vintage Japanese toys.
I got so excited when I saw some Licca
dolls on there. I've been keeping my eye on this
Korilakkuma figure:

o///o

Does anyone have a favorite San-x/Sanrio character?

I tend to change from favorites all the time. I love
them all! D:

Yesterday I went to the mall with my mom and cousin.
My mom wanted to buy my cousin some new clothes since
school starts for her on Monday. I tagged along and got
some clothes from my mom as well. (Reason why she hates
it when I tag along with her to stores. lol) Here's what I wore:
