Oppa P o o p e r style!

It's so incredibly hot right now ...
Not even our AC unit is strong enough for this heat. (;へ:)
September is almost coming to an end and yet, no sign of fall.
I guess that's normal for most places. (ー_ー )
Though, when I use to live in New York as a child we use
to see the early signs of fall at around this time ...
We'd have a little breeze come by and leaves from trees
would start falling off.

The sun was also less intense ... Then again this is Florida and
the sun will always be obnoxious. Even through the winter season.

Last week I had more hours at work. (^ ^)
Also, last Saturday I had a photoshoot with my photographer friend, Will.

Will on the right. 。◕‿◕。

I can't wait to see the actual results!
The purpose of the photo shoot was to create a showcase
for his jewelery/accessories that he's going to sell on Etsy.

All of his items revolve around the doll cult/pastel goth style.
I tried my best to try to dress up in a more 'pastel goth' style ...
I TRIED.

From right to left: Ozelle, me, and Melanie

I sort of stole these pictures from Will. ◠‿◠;
What I love about him is that even if we're just hanging
out he'll take pictures of everything!
In the same time we'll have fun goofing off.
This was my second time hanging out with Will and Ozelle
and I've felt so comfortable with being myself with them.
Also, Ozelle is so pretty! ;ω;

So yes, I was suppose to wear lolita for the past two weeks ...
heh
Well, last Saturday I had the photo shoot and the Saturday
before that me and Tommy went to the flea market.
Mind you, the flea market I went to HAS NO AC. (・_・;)
Which I don't mind ...
Though, it wouldn't have been nice sweating in lolita. lol

I bought some stuff from there like a Voices of Distant Star DVD,
a Princess Mononoke DVD,and a Black Lady from Sailor moon figurine.
Oh, and some Adventure Time stuff as well. ( ´¬`)

By the way actually ...
So, about that Gangnam Style.
I heard it at least a couple times on the radio last week!
Along with Wonder Girl's Like Money.
I did not expect Gangnam Style to blow up into epic proportions ...
200 mil views already?!

I really enjoy the song/video but I don't want to
somehow grow tired of it.
Hopefully it doesn't become so obnoxious in popularity. (¬_¬)
I haven't heard any of my co-workers talk about Gangnam Style yet
so we're good for now.
I suppose.

Back in July when it released, I was just thinking Psy was to South Korea
what Kyary is to Japan ... Didn't expect celebs from the US to take a huge
interest him.

Have any of you heard Gangnam Style
on the radio yet? or Wonder Girls?

AFO 2011.

I finished my summer semester
last week on Tuesday (Aug 2) and awaiting the next semester
which will start on the 29th.

Meanwhile, I'm just hoping time will go by as slowly as possible.

-> How I look right now. O:

Usually when I blog its always on a day where
I stay at home and look like a bum. ^^;

Last weekend I went to an anime convention called
Anime Festival Orlando, or AFO. My experience with AFO
is always pleasant and I always manage to leave there feeling good. C:
AFO was the very first anime con I had ever went to and I still remember
that day perfectly. I remember buying my first manga there which was
Ranma 1/2 which I had never kept buying because the series is about
36
volumes ... I think. xD;

What made this con experience really memorable is that I finally
was able to hang out with my friends (its been such a long time!)
and we were all dressed in lolita.

Nachi on the left, me in the middle and Huart on the right.
It was Nachi's very first time wearing a lolita outfit
all thanks to Huart's help. <33 I was so excited cause it was my
first time hanging out in a "loli" group with my best friends
and we all agree that we must do this again ...
We were even talking about buying matching sweet lolita dresses
in order to look like something this:

I really hope this happens. *___*
It seems like I always seem to wear lolita for cons.
Though I love wearing lolita any chance I get ...
ONE DAY I WILL COSPLAY. D:<
I just haven't because cosplays can take up pure dedication, especially
when you want them to be perfect. :c
And I can't really fund both cosplaying and lolita.
Also I haven't really figured out what I should cosplay!
The last thing I cosplayed was Bou from An Cafe
and I didn't have the right hair for it. xD;
(Can't find a picture of that cosplay since I've changed computers
since then >_>;)

I was thinking for potential cosplays something a long the lines of ...
Sailor Saturn, Mario, and Alita from Battle Angel. :|

Here's my full outfit:

Have you ever cosplayed?
Or want to cosplay? If so which character?

Can't wait for the summer to be over.

Hellooooo! o:

I went to go check the last time I made a post and it was on June 22nd ...
Today's July 21st. DDD:
Honestly, I did not realize how fast time flies!
Especially when you get carried away with certain things.
I'm not aware of when it happened but I believe a month ago I started
to struggle with one of my classes. I should of went to a tutor to begin
with but at the time I felt confident that I didn't need any extra help.

Eventually I had to put my pride or whatever aside and go after that extra help. x:
I don't know what it is about some us who are either too terrified or too modest
or too prideful to ask for help. This applies to any situation. For me I
suppose its just that I'm too polite and it causes me to not want to bother anyone.
Also, I fear that I might create a bad experience just by bothering someone.
Fears like, What if I encounter a mean, rude tutor? or when you
think about asking your friends for help What if I annoy them or what if they think I'm a pest?

Those types of thoughts are inevitable, persistent, and they linger around.
Though, they can't be helped. We naturally worry about any little thing that might cause a disturbance. All we could ever want is to just avoid any form of trouble, by any means. :c No one likes to take risks no matter how petty or
serious they are. Funny thing is, we've all looked at someone else and
rolled our eyes at how they can't overcome something that we're able
to overcome easily. It's very difficult to understand others, even when you
actually try to understand how they think. That's one of the reasons
I guess to why people rarely ask for help ... due to the fact
that not everyone may understand you.

Looking back on my post from June (Nachi's 20th birthday) ...
On that same week I had went to an anime con and was suppose to write
a post about it.
-_-;

I'll take advantage now and show you guys the outfit I wore.

Outfit: • Wig: Ebay • Headbow and JSK: Dream of Lolita • Blouse: Bodyline • Socks: Secret Shop • Shoes: An*tai*na • Cinnamoroll bag: Ebay • Petticoat: DollscroPs • Acessories: Chocomint

Oh god, that day was just awesome. :D
I received so much attention that day, I've always thought
that con goers didn't care for lolitas. lol
A few people kept calling me cotton candy girl. xD
It was definitely a memorable day and I even went to a movie
theater in that outfit.

Note: This wig made me look VERY tan. I love the wig to death
but I'll never buy one similar to this. I'm gonna stick
to browns and blacks, even if it means black mixed with blonde or something.

Completed unrelated ... but,

Who has seen HP The Deathly Hollows Part 2? :D

I REALLY want to go see it but I still need to see Part 1.
DDD:
I just haven't found anyone to watch part 1 with me and I just
haven't had the time.
;-;

Nachi's 20th birthday.

Hey everyone! :D
Sorry for taking forever when it comes to blogging.
The usual gets in the way like studying and Tumblr.
People as well which I'm not trying to claim as an issue. xD
Some stuff comes up and its either my friends are there for me or I'm
there for them. So, I'll end up taking as much time as possible comforting
them in whatever situation they may be in and honestly it makes me
feel glad to have helped them.

Tumblr has got to be the only thing that I'll resort to whenever I'm
stressed or in need of inspiration. I find some really great pictures
of sweet lolitas on there that help me learn how to coordinate outfits
more appropriately and these pictures do help me take this style more seriously.

I'm already excited about what dress I might get next. *.*

Let's see, let's see ... So recently I witnessed my lovely sister, Nachi,
get a monroe piercing on her birthday.
(she's not really my sister ... I wish. ;A; )

If you don't know what a monroe looks like then here's an image of it:

I was so excited for her! She's been wanting it for the longest time ...
The only issue she had was deciding whether she truly wanted a monroe.
I sort of felt a little jealous because I've always wanted two monroes.
One of each side of my upper lip ... I never thought about getting a tattoo
and neither do I plan to (maybe!). Speaking of tattoos, Nachi is going to get one
tomorrow. Hopefully she'll allow me to take pictures of it. >_>
I've heard from a few friends that once you get either a piercing or tattoo
you'll want more. xD

Outfit I wore on her birthday:

Mini Hat: Angelic Pretty
Wig: Ebay (I LOVE THIS WIG. When it breaks apart
I won't know what to do. ;-;)
Cutsew: Infanta
Skirt: Hottopic
Socks: Secret Shop
Shoes: Bodyline
Necklace: Chocomint

Nachi's Yorkshire ... her name is Ruby and she is such a cutie!
She wouldn't let me take a good picture of her. :\

Nachi's mom forced us to smile when I asked her to take a picture of us.
You can't really see Nachi's monroe. ;-;

We went to Downtown Disney to browse through all of the shops. We spent an
eternity in Downtown Disney's Trend shop where we freaked out at the
sight of sailor themed clothes by Tokidoki. The dress she's holding is by Tokidoki.

The pictures above is where we ended our day by eating at
Kobe's Japanese Steakhouse. She got a free cupcake because it was her birthday and immediately after we
were stuffed and exhausted we tried taking a quick picture as a group.
We all look so tired and bleh.

The day doesn't sound like much though it really was. We spent the entire
day singing to every song on the radio and dancing randomly at Downtown Disney.
They had live music playing at Disney and all of the songs played were strictly
pop like Lady Gaga's Born this way, and Black Eyed Peas The Time.
We ended up trash talking Katy Perry's E.T. song due to the fact that at some
point during the day the song was playing on four different radio stations in
the same time. It kept coming up throughout the entire day and before you
know it we would randomly burst into verse.
"KISS ME, K-K-KISS ME"
I swear its STILL stuck on me, I'm singing that verse right now. lol

How do you feel about tattoos and/or piercings?

Star Wars Weekend 2011.

We went on June 4th which was a Saturday and the event was held at
Disney's MGM Studios.

The entire time while I was there I kept thinking, "Why, WHY does this event
have to be in the SUMMER and on the weekend OF ALL DAYS."

Usually when I go to a theme park I go on a weekday like Wednesday or something.
I also try to go when its Fall or Winter ... its cool or cold out and tourists
only come to Florida when its Summer. I was really excited about this event
but unfortunately the by early afternoon we all decided to leave. It was waaaaay
too hot outside and MGM Studios was so crowded and full to the point where
we felt irritated. The heat wasn't much of problem but it added on to our
fury. xD

Also ... MGM Studios has a section dedicated to Star Wars which is there throughout
the entire year. The Jedi Training Academy and the Star Tours are part of that
section and are there throughout the entire year ... The other "Star Wars Weekend"
events were parades, and autographs from certain Star Wars celebrities. WHICH, we
couldn't get any autographs because apparently you needed a specialized ticket
that will allow you to see these celebrities and they were all passed out to
people who had camped overnight for this event. :\ Hopefully next time if we
ever go again we'll be more prepared. I was hoping to take pictures with some
Star Wars characters but instead I got some pictures with some Disney characters. :3
My next post will include pictures of me and my friends with the Disney
characters and I'll even write about how quirky each character was. xD They
really made my day!

My outfit:

Headband: Bought it off egl_sales
Necklace and Vest: Hottopic
Skirt: Angelic Pretty
Socks: Angelic Pretty
Purse: Gift from Nachi
Boots: JCPenney
Bracelets: Offbrand

How do you usually feel about the Summer?

I like the summer on certain occasions but ...
eh, I prefer a cooler climate. :p

My 'back to school' outfit for Melludee's competition.

Sooooo, a few days ago Melody
had announced a competition called The Back to School Competition where
you can submit your photo of what your personal interpretation of 'Going back to
school' means. Meaning, you can dress up as anything that reminds you of school.

School uniforms, nerds, preps, teachers, anything!
Here's the competition for more details and if you want to join in on the fun:
Click meee!

The competition ends on June 21st (that's when pictures will be up for voting)
and voting ends on June 28th (competition is completed ended at this point)

Since there's a lot of time left before the 21st ... I highly suggest for
anyone to go try this out! You never know if you end up winning. ;D

Here's my entry:

and here's the complete outfit:

I try to dress up in an uniform-ish type of outfit and I was trying to be
nerdy too. :p You're allowed to enter collages but I just couldn't figure
out how to make a collage with both my close up pics and the outfit pic. xD
Also, I didn't like how any of my outfit pictures showed up. :\

Did you have to wear a school uniform
throughout your elementary, middle school and high school years?

I never had to wear a uniform since I all of my schools were public and not private
and also its not really enforced in the US. Though ... I remember a time where
my middle school tried to enforce uniforms and me being a pushover I let my mom
convince me to wear them. After I noticed how no one wore them and I was the very
few that did wear them, I got fed up and fought with my mom about it. Eventually,
I got rid of the uniforms and dressed however I wanted. I wasn't necessarily
good at wearing whatever I wanted. :p I was the typical scrunched up jeans,
plain t-shirt, dirty sneakers, type of nerd. Its so relieving when you realize how
much you have evolved as a person. lol
